Rabbiter's Hut is the ideal place to get away, relax, and experience country life.
Unwind on the verandah of the restored rural cottage, or by the fire. Taste local produce from paddock to plate, explore the endless rural surrounds, enjoy bushwalking, horse riding, bird watching, and more.
Situated in the eastern ranges of the Adelaide Hills, just an hour from Adelaide, Rabbiter's Hut is located on the picturesque farming property of ‘Tinline Park‘.
Boasting endless, uninterrupted views of the Murray Plains, Rabbiter's Hut is located in the 'Tinline Triangle' - just twenty minutes from the world-renowned regions of Barossa Valley, Murraylands, and Adelaide Hills.
The Rabbiter's Hut was originally used in the 1950s as the home for the 'rabbit man', who was employed to reduce vermin on the property.
Restoration of the cottage commenced in 2011, using local tradesmen, as well as Bill and Annette's eldest son Jock, who is also a builder. The Rabbiter’s Hut was converted into an exclusive and luxurious 3-bedroom cottage, using typical Australian materials such as corrugated iron and red gum from the property.
The cottage is situated three kilometres from the main homestead, ensuring privacy during your stay. However, owners Annette and Bill are available to personally host your stay for an even more memorable and unique holiday experience.
Staying at Rabbiter's Hut is a wonderful opportunity to experience life in the South Australian country.
Prepare home-cooked meals in your full gourmet kitchen, or cook in the campfire oven on your own private bonfire. Gather around the indoor fireplace, or entertain in the adjacent 'Rabbiter's Shed'.
A number of exclusive packages are available for you to taste and experience the best of Rabbiter's Hut and the Adelaide Hills, to ensure your stay is as unique as it is unforgettable.
